As with every aspect of our business, our attitude to the environment, both local and global, has changed as the company has developed. Today our environmental Management System seeks to minimise our impact on both our immediate environment, and with a global perspective, reducing, reusing and recycling wherever possible.

We work closely with manufacturers to promote the latest environmentally positive construction practices and host seminars and product demonstrations for builders, local authorities, developers and architects to ensure they are aware of product innovations and legislative changes.

The portfolio of products supplied by Robert Price has developed greatly since its foundation supplying masonry and basic building materials. Robert Price work hard to raise our customers' awareness of environmentally friendly materials and products, such as ground source heat pumps, rainwater harvesters, low carbon rate blocks and even sheepswool insulation.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment

As part of the WEEE Directive Robert Price are a member of the Valpak Distributor Take-Back scheme. If you have any waste electrical or electronic equipment then Robert Price staff will be more than happy to direct you to the nearest available civic amenity site.

                                    Chain of Custody

In March 2006, Robert Price Builders' Merchants and Robert Price Timber and Roofing Merchants were the first independent builders' merchants in Wales to be awarded Chain of Custody certification for all our branches. Robert Price were awarded both PEFC certification and FSC certification.

Chain of Custody is the means by which timber is tracked to ensure that it is sourced from legal and sustainable forests.

It tracks the timber through each stage of the supply chain, from the forest to the mills, importers, distributors and merchants.

Robert Price supply fully certified FSC and PEFC stock covering softwoods, hardwoods, sheet materials and I Joists.
