System boilers, or sealed system boilers, provide heating and hot water vian airing cupboard storage cylinder. As with the combi boiler, there is still no need for a storage tank in the loft.

Open vent boilers provide the heating and hotwater via a boiler, an airing cupboard cylinder and a loft storage tank.
