Robert Price Timber and Roofing merchants at Taffs Well has benfited from significant invesment since it was purchased in 2003, and boasts a 7 acre site with 13 milling machines, a timber treatment plant, and a hugely improved stock range of timber and roofing materials.
Our specialist timber mill in Taffs Well enables us to supply a huge range of planed and moulded sections including skirtings, architraves, matchings and floorings produced in our own sawmills. Also stocked is a range of MDF mouldings, sawn joinery, studs and fencing timbers. Our carcassing ex-stock range includes timber, dry graded, regularised and treated off the shelf for collection or delivery.

Robert Price Timber and Roofing merchants now has a dedicated I joist floor system designer, Carwyn Caple. He uses the latest software packages from Finnforest; Finnframe and Finnbeam combined with his technical background to design I-beams and provide quotes. The Finnframe floor system is an inspired mix of quality, technology and service - a total flooring system devised specifically for the UK construction industry. Most important of all, it is the only flooring system that currently complies with the new Euro Code 5.
The Finnframe software package allows the user to view designs in 3D as well as plan view. Carwyn can deliver clear and concise material listings, structural and assembly drawings and the programme is designed to calculate to British Standards and the new euro Code 5.
To complement the Finnframe software, Finnbeam can provide single member calculations. Carwyn can therefore give a fully detailed analysis of any structural member required in the construction of a floor and he has the ability to input additional loads and alter loadings to suit the needs of the client. Finnforest building system, Kerto-s is also an ideal product for use in elements in roofs, floors and walls, such as purlins, beams, joist and lintels.
