Armed Forces Covenant
The Armed Forces Covenant is a national promise by the UK government and the nation that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly and with respect, ensuring they don’t face disadvantage and receive special consideration for sacrifices made.
We, Robert Price Builders Merchants Ltd. will endeavour to uphold the key principles of the Armed Forces Covenant:
- Members of the Armed Forces Community should not face disadvantages arising from their service in the provision of public and commercial services.
- In some circumstances special provision may be justified, especially for those who have given the most, such as the injured or bereaved.
We recognise the contribution that Service personnel, reservists, veterans, the cadet movement and military families make to our organisation, our community and to the country. We will seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant by:
- Promoting the Armed Forces: Publishing that we are an Armed Force-friendly organisation, to our staff, customers, suppliers, contractors and wider public via our website.
- Employment support to members of the Armed Forces Community: Granting unpaid leave for re-servists or cadet instructors to attend training.
- Flexible leave: The company will offer flexibility for service spouses and partners regarding leave for deployments.
- Veterans: supporting the employment of veterans, recognising military skills and qualifications in our recruitment and selection process
