Helping Abergavenny Allotment Association Rebuild After a Break-In
As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting local community groups, Robert Price Builders’ Merchant recently donated materials to the Abergavenny Allotment Association to help them repair and improve their fencing following a recent break-in.
The association, which operates entirely on a volunteer basis, provides local residents with the opportunity to grow their own produce, connect with others, and enjoy the wellbeing benefits of outdoor activity. Unfortunately, after their site was broken into, the team needed to install new fence screening to improve security and protect their plots — but with a very limited budget, this proved to be a challenge.
After hearing about their situation, we were pleased to step in and offer a donation of materials to support the project. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the association’s volunteers, the new fencing has now been installed.
Chairman Rob Francis expressed his thanks, saying:
“We are not a rich association — in fact, we operate on a shoestring budget — so your help is greatly appreciated…After a short delay, our two volunteers have done a magnificent job, and we’re so grateful for your extremely kind donation of materials.”
It’s great to see local volunteers working hard to make a difference, and we’re proud to have played a small part in helping them rebuild and move forward!
